Troubleshooting Help:

Video Lessons for the Beginning Timpanist

Q: The video lessons won't play.

A: You need to install the current version of Apple's Quicktime player (6 or better). Download the FREE player online at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download

Q: When I click on the video lessons, Windows Media Player launches, but nothing happens.

A: These video clips were encoded for use with Apple's Quicktime player only. No other media player (either WMP, RealVideo Player or DIVX players) are compatible.

Q: The video plays, but I can't hear the audio.

A: You have an older version of Quicktime that does not support the MP4 audio codec used for audio. Upgrade to Quicktime version 6 or better at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download

Q: The audio and video play, but the video stops and starts frequently.

A: The computer processor or CD drive is too slow to handle the "throughput" necessary to process the data. First, try copying the entire folder of video lessons to your computer's hard drive and viewing them from there rather than from the disc. If they play fine from there, the problem is that your CD drive is too slow. If they still won't play without hesitations in the video, the problem is with the speed of your computer.

Q: I want to play the videos on a TV, but the disc won't work on my DVD player.

A: This disc is formatted for computer use only. If you'd like to purchase a DVD of these lessons to play on a set-top DVD player, please let us know! If enough viewers are interested, we'd be happy to produce a DVD as a separate purchase.
